Meet the Team
Susan Cull – Centre Manager
Susan joined the organisation in 2008 as a finance administrator back when our service was based at the Old Gatehouse. She then went on to become Deputy Manager where her role included preparing and submitting funding applications, managing finances, HR and payroll, as well as other day to day admin responsibilities. Over the years Susan has worked effortlessly to continue to improve and expand the services we offer and she now deservedly represents the organisation as Centre Manager.
Megan Black – Deputy Manager
Megan joined NEDC in May 2018 as Deputy Manager. Megan has experience of working with people living with Dementia having previously worked as the Dementia Link Worker for South East Edinburgh providing post-diagnostic support as part of Scotland’s National Dementia Strategy. Megan carries a wealth of knowledge having graduated from Queen Margaret University in 2012 and completing her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2014, which focused on non-pharmacological interventions for people with Dementia. Megan has brought fresh ideas into the organisation and works hard to ensure carers are fully supported.
Margaret Lannin – Senior Assistant
Margaret is the organisation’s longest serving employee after joining the team in 2000 as a day care worker. Margaret then took up our Person in Charge role 4 days per week where her responsibilities include managing the day to day operations by planning activities based on the interests of members who would be attending that day, medication prompts and organising our daily transport. As well as her Person in Charge role, Margaret has taken on the responsibility of carrying out home visits to gather more information about new members before they start the service, which allows us to identify what they would like to get out of their time here and any needs they may have. In addition Margaret has also recently become our Volunteer Co-ordinator meeting regularly with our volunteers to listen to any feedback they have which could help us improve our service. As you can see Margaret is a great asset to our team and her caring nature goes a long way in ensuring our members benefit from their time here.
Our Board of Directors bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and skills that supports the running of the organisation and you can find out more about our board members and why they decided to get involved with the service here.
